KATE HAMMENT
NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS U17s PHYSIOTHERAPIST
B.Phty (Hons), APAM
Kate graduated as a Physiotherapist with honours from the University of Newcastle.
Kate initially encountered the Up N Adam Team as a patient of Darren’s after rupturing her ACL playing competition hockey in 2020. After surgery she did her initial rehab with Darren before progressing onto a personalised training program with Adam and Todd. Kate's first hand experience as a patient undergoing a long demanding rehab has given her invaluable 'first-hand' experience. Kate remarked that 'being able to do all of my rehab in one place under the supervision of a physio and experienced performance trainers was undoubtedly the key to my success. I can’t wait to help other people have the same success in their own rehab journey!'
In Kate's downtime, she loves going out for coffee with friends, playing hockey, running, playing with her Groodle Lenny and, of course, training with everyone at Up n Adam (Zuu is secretly her favourite session, even though she complains the whole time 😂)
Key experience:
⁃ Internship with the Newcastle Jets A-league Men’s and Women’s Teams
⁃ Internship & ongoing employment with the Newcastle Knights U17s Team
⁃ Level 1 ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coach
⁃ In the process of doing her Rehab Pilates Level 1 Course
