DEAN WATERMAN
Physiotherapist
B. Physiotherapy, APAM
Dean is a Physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience, graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2013. Over this time, Dean's career has given him a great range of experience across private practice, aged care, and community settings.
Having been in and around the sports of cycling and triathlon since his early teenage years, a natural professional curiosity led him to continued professional development in the world of cycling biomechanics and bike fitting. After seeing the need for comprehensive bike fitting services to be provided in the Hunter, Dean created CycleFit Physiotherapy in 2015. His approach utilises his further training in cycling specific physiotherapy along with state of the art motion capture technology (STT Cycling 3DMA).
Dean loves helping all types and levels of cyclists—from commuters to elite athletes—dial in their setup to improve comfort, increase efficiency, and prevent cycling related injuries.
Outside of work Dean enjoys time with his family, weekends away camping and spending some time on the bike himself (albeit not as much as he would like!).
