How We Assess Cyclists
 

We focus on biomechanics, muscle balance, and position-specific demands.
 

  • VALD dynamometer: quad, hip, and calf strength testing.

  • NordBord: hamstring power for sprinting and climbing.

  • ForceDecks: single-leg stability and drive strength.

  • Glute Activation: are you a quad dominant rider or the optimal glute dominant rider?

  • Cycling-specific screen: cleat position, hip-knee alignment, and posture analysis.


Treatment & Rehab for Cyclists

  • Manual therapy to release overloaded tissues and improve mobility.

  • Strength rehab and recruitment strategies for glutes, quads, and core to improve pedal efficiency.

  • Spinal and hip range of motion & conditioning to support posture.

  • Bike-fit adjustments or referral for detailed fit with inhouse Physio Dean Waterman (CycleFit).

  • Gradual “return-to-volume” plans to rebuild endurance and power.

  • Coaching and / or VO2 testing with Lucas McBeath.
