HIP PAIN PHYSIOTHERAPY NEWCASTLE

Move Freely. Build Strength. Get Back to What You Love.

Hip pain can make everyday activities challenging — from walking, climbing stairs and sleeping comfortably to running, cycling and playing sport.

At Up N Adam Performance Training & Physiotherapy in Hamilton North, Newcastle, we take the time to understand your symptoms, assess how your hip moves and identify factors that may be contributing to your pain.

Whether you're experiencing persistent hip discomfort, a recent sporting injury or recovering from hip surgery, our physiotherapists can help you develop a clear pathway towards improved movement, strength and confidence.

Understand Your Hip Pain. Build a Stronger Future.

Rebuild Strength for the Long Term

Progressive strengthening of the hip and surrounding muscles helps improve your capacity for walking, climbing stairs, running, cycling and everyday activities.

Your Pathway From Hip Pain to Confident Movement

Successful hip rehabilitation starts with understanding your symptoms, your goals and the physical demands you want to return to.

We discuss your symptoms, injury history, activities and goals before assessing hip mobility, strength and relevant functional movements.

We explain our findings and work with you to develop an appropriate treatment plan, including strategies for managing symptoms and maintaining activity.

Your rehabilitation may include targeted mobility exercises, progressive hip strengthening, balance training and functional movement retraining.

Whether you're returning to comfortable walking, hiking, running, cycling or sport, we help you build the strength and capacity required for your goals.

Your Hips Are Made for Movement.

Hip pain doesn't have to mean giving up the activities you enjoy. With an appropriate assessment and progressive rehabilitation, many people can improve their strength, movement and confidence.

PERSONALISED HIP PAIN REHABILITATION

More Than Pain Relief. Build the Capacity to Keep Moving.

Hip rehabilitation is about more than treating the painful area. It involves understanding how your hip functions, how surrounding muscles contribute to movement and what demands you need to return to.

At Up N Adam, we assess hip mobility, muscular strength, functional movement and the requirements of your work, exercise or sport.

Where appropriate, we use objective strength testing, including VALD technology, to identify strength differences and help guide rehabilitation progression.

Our goal is to help you restore comfortable movement, improve physical capacity and develop the confidence to return to the activities you value.

Hip conditions we assess and treat

Hip pain can affect people of all ages and activity levels. Our physiotherapists assess your individual presentation and help determine the most appropriate management.

Understanding your hip pain is the first step towards restoring movement, rebuilding strength and returning to the activities you love.

Pain on the outside of the hip can be associated with gluteal tendon irritation and may affect walking, stairs or sleeping on your side. We assess contributing factors and develop a progressive strengthening and load-management program.

Hip osteoarthritis can cause pain, stiffness and reduced confidence with everyday movement. We help you maintain mobility, improve strength and develop practical strategies for managing symptoms and staying active.

Hip joint conditions may cause groin pain, clicking or discomfort with deep bending, squatting or sport. We assess your symptoms and movement to guide rehabilitation and determine when further investigation or referral is appropriate.

Hip flexor and groin symptoms can develop through sport, exercise or repetitive loading. We assess muscular strength, movement and activity demands before developing a progressive rehabilitation plan.

Hip pain can interfere with running, cycling and endurance training. We consider training loads, muscular capacity and movement demands, incorporating running analysis or bike fitting where appropriate.

Recovering from hip replacement, arthroscopy or other hip surgery requires appropriate progression based on the procedure and surgeon's guidelines. We help restore movement, strength and confidence through structured rehabilitation.

Experienced Care. A Personal Approach.

Our physiotherapists combine clinical assessment, exercise rehabilitation and objective testing to help you understand your symptoms and work towards your goals.
