Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?

No. You can book directly with our Newcastle physiotherapy team. We see private patients, athletes, active people and those simply wanting to move and feel better.

What should I bring to my first physiotherapy appointment?

​

Wear comfortable clothing that allows us to assess the area properly. If you have relevant scans, medical reports, specialist letters or other information, bring these with you.

Do you only treat athletes and sports injuries?

​

No. While we have extensive experience in sports physiotherapy, running, cycling and rehabilitation, we treat people of all ages and activity levels. This includes back and neck pain, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle problems, post-operative rehabilitation and everyday musculoskeletal injuries.

How long are physiotherapy appointments?

​

Initial physiotherapy consultations are 60 minutes, giving us time to understand your problem, assess you thoroughly and begin treatment and rehabilitation. Follow-up consultations are generally 30 minutes, with longer appointments available when required.

Can I claim physiotherapy through private health insurance?

​

Yes. HICAPS is available for eligible private health fund claims. Your rebate will depend on your insurer and level of cover.

Do you offer injury prevention and performance testing?

​

Yes. Our Newcastle facility provides objective strength and performance testing alongside physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Depending on your needs, this may include VALD strength testing, running assessment, movement analysis and individualised strength and rehabilitation programs.
