SHOULDER PAIN PHYSIOTHERAPY NEWCASTLE

Get Your Shoulder Moving. Get Back to What You Love.

Shoulder pain can affect everything from reaching overhead and sleeping comfortably to lifting weights, swimming, working and playing sport.

At Up N Adam Performance Training & Physiotherapy in Hamilton North, Newcastle, we take the time to understand your symptoms, assess how your shoulder moves and identify the factors that may be limiting your recovery.

Whether you're experiencing a recent injury, persistent discomfort or recovering from shoulder surgery, our physiotherapists can help you develop a clear pathway towards better movement, strength and confidence.

Understand Your Shoulder Pain. Rebuild Your Confidence.

The shoulder is a highly mobile joint that relies on coordinated movement and muscular strength. Pain can develop through injury, changes in training or workload, stiffness or a range of shoulder conditions.

Our approach combines careful assessment, appropriate treatment and progressive rehabilitation to help you return to the activities that matter.

Build Strength for the Long Term

We use progressive shoulder and upper-body strengthening to improve your capacity for lifting, reaching, work, exercise and sport.

Your Pathway From Shoulder Pain to Stronger Movement

We believe successful rehabilitation starts with understanding your injury, your goals and the demands you want your shoulder to manage.

We discuss your symptoms, injury history, activities and goals before assessing shoulder mobility, strength and relevant functional movements.

We explain our findings and work with you to establish a practical treatment and rehabilitation plan suited to your presentation.

Your rehabilitation may include targeted mobility exercises, rotator cuff strengthening, shoulder blade control and progressive loading.

Whether you're returning to work, the gym, swimming or competitive sport, we help you build the strength and capacity required for your activities.

Your Shoulder Is Made for Movement.

Shoulder pain doesn't have to mean giving up the activities you enjoy. With an appropriate assessment and a progressive rehabilitation plan, many people can return to lifting, reaching, training and everyday activities with greater confidence.

PERSONALISED SHOULDER REHABILITATION

More Than Pain Relief. Rebuild What Your Shoulder Can Do.

Shoulder rehabilitation is about more than treating the painful area. It involves understanding how your shoulder moves, how the surrounding muscles function and what demands you need to return to.

At Up N Adam, we assess shoulder mobility, rotator cuff strength, shoulder blade function and the physical requirements of your work, exercise or sport.

Where appropriate, we use objective strength testing, including VALD technology, to identify strength differences and help guide rehabilitation progression.

Our goal is to help you restore comfortable movement, improve strength and develop the confidence to return to meaningful activities.

Shoulder conditions we assess and treat

Shoulder pain can have several contributing factors. Our physiotherapists assess your individual presentation and help determine an appropriate treatment and rehabilitation approach.

Understanding why your shoulder hurts is the first step towards rebuilding strength, restoring movement and returning with confidence.

Rotator cuff problems can cause pain when lifting, reaching or lying on your shoulder. We assess shoulder strength and movement before developing an appropriate progressive loading program.

Frozen shoulder can cause significant pain and progressive restriction of movement. We help you understand the condition, manage symptoms and maintain or gradually restore function as the condition progresses.

Pain when raising your arm can be associated with several shoulder conditions, including rotator cuff-related pain. We assess the contributing factors and use targeted rehabilitation to improve movement and load tolerance.

Shoulder instability may occur after a dislocation or through recurrent episodes of the shoulder feeling loose or unreliable. We focus on restoring strength, control and confidence, with referral for specialist assessment when indicated.

Recovering from shoulder surgery requires a structured approach that respects the procedure, healing timeframes and your surgeon's rehabilitation guidelines. We help restore movement, strength and function through appropriate progression.

Shoulder pain can limit swimming, throwing, racquet sports, weight training and other activities. We assess strength, movement and sporting demands to help guide your return to training and competition.

Experienced Care. A Personal Approach.

Our physiotherapists combine clinical assessment, exercise rehabilitation and objective testing to help you work towards your goals.
