TENNIS & PICKLEBALL INJURY PHYSIOTHERAPY NEWCASTLE
Recover Stronger. Return to the Court. Play With Confidence.
Tennis and pickleball are fantastic sports for fitness, competition and enjoyment, but the repeated demands of serving, hitting, lunging, sprinting and rapid changes of direction can place considerable stress on the muscles, tendons and joints.
At Up N Adam Performance Training & Physiotherapy in Hamilton North, Newcastle, we understand the physical demands of racquet sports and how frustrating an injury can be when it prevents you from playing the game you love.
Our physiotherapists combine detailed injury assessment, progressive rehabilitation, objective strength testing and sport-specific exercise programs to help tennis and pickleball players recover, rebuild their physical capacity and return to the court with confidence.
Whether you're a junior tennis player, competitive athlete, social doubles player or someone who has recently discovered pickleball, we'll work with you to understand your injury and develop a rehabilitation plan suited to your goals.

Restore strength. Rebuild confidence. Get back on the court.
Tennis & Pickleball Injuries We Assess and Treat
Tennis and pickleball involve repeated gripping, hitting, serving, lunging and changes of direction. These movements can contribute to tendon pain, muscle strains, joint injuries and persistent musculoskeletal symptoms.
At Up N Adam, we assess the injury, identify relevant strength and movement deficits, and develop an individualised rehabilitation program that considers your playing frequency, physical capacity and goals.
The goal isn't simply to settle your pain — it's to restore the strength, movement capacity and confidence you need to keep enjoying tennis or pickleball.
Tennis elbow, also known as lateral elbow tendinopathy, can develop from repeated gripping, backhand strokes and other racquet-related loading.
We assess elbow and wrist strength, grip capacity, tendon loading tolerance and relevant shoulder function before developing a progressive strengthening program.
Our approach focuses on improving your ability to tolerate racquet sports rather than relying on rest alone.
Serving, overhead shots and repeated racquet movements place significant demands on the shoulder, particularly the rotator cuff and surrounding stabilising muscles.
We assess shoulder mobility, rotator cuff strength, scapular control and functional capacity before developing a progressive rehabilitation program.
Our goal is to restore strength and confidence during serving, overhead shots and repeated hitting.
Repeated acceleration, deceleration, lunging and rapid changes of direction place considerable demands on the Achilles tendon and calf muscles.
We assess calf strength, tendon loading tolerance, ankle mobility and functional performance before developing a progressive strengthening and return-to-court program.
Pivoting, lunging, sudden stopping and changes of direction can contribute to knee pain, meniscal injuries and other knee conditions.
We assess knee mobility, quadriceps and hamstring strength, movement control and functional capacity, using VALD strength testing where appropriate.
Rehabilitation focuses on restoring the strength and movement capacity required for confident court movement.
Serving, twisting, reaching and repeated rotational movements can place considerable demands on the lumbar spine.
We assess spinal movement, trunk strength, hip mobility and the physical demands of your playing style before developing an individualised rehabilitation program.
Our aim is to help you manage symptoms, restore movement capacity and return to playing with confidence.
Repeated gripping, racquet impact and falls can contribute to wrist pain, forearm muscle injuries and hand conditions.
We assess grip strength, wrist mobility, tendon loading tolerance and relevant upper-limb function before developing a progressive rehabilitation program.
Where appropriate, rehabilitation progresses towards hitting, serving, volleys and the repeated demands of racquet sports.
Experienced physiotherapists. Personalised care.
Our physiotherapists combine sports injury assessment, progressive rehabilitation, objective strength testing and an understanding of athletic performance to help tennis and pickleball players recover and return to the court.
