TOUCH FOOTBALL INJURY PHYSIOTHERAPY NEWCASTLE
Recover Stronger. Return to Touch Football. Play With Confidence.
Touch football is a fast-paced, physically demanding sport involving repeated sprinting, acceleration, deceleration, stepping and rapid changes of direction. These movements place considerable demands on the muscles, joints and tendons of the lower limbs, and injuries can quickly interrupt your training and competition.
At Up N Adam Performance Training & Physiotherapy in Hamilton North, Newcastle, we understand the physical demands of touch football and the importance of returning to the field with confidence.
Our physiotherapists combine detailed injury assessment, progressive rehabilitation, objective VALD strength testing and sport-specific return-to-play programs to help touch football players recover and rebuild their physical capacity.
Whether you're a junior touch player, social competitor, local club athlete or representative player, we'll work with you to understand your injury and develop a rehabilitation plan suited to your playing demands and goals.

Restore strength. Rebuild speed. Return to the field.
Touch Football Injuries We Assess and Treat
Touch football places significant demands on the lower limbs through repeated sprinting, acceleration, deceleration, stepping and rapid changes of direction. These movements can contribute to muscle strains, ligament injuries and tendon conditions.
At Up N Adam, we assess the injury, identify relevant strength and movement deficits, and develop an individualised rehabilitation plan that considers the demands of returning to touch football.
The goal isn't simply to get you back onto the field — it's to restore the strength, speed, agility and confidence you need to play touch football at your best.
Repeated sprinting, acceleration and high-speed running place considerable demands on the hamstrings and calf muscles.
We assess muscle strength, injury severity and running capacity before developing progressive rehabilitation involving strengthening, sprinting and return-to-play testing.
Our approach aims to restore your ability to accelerate, sprint and repeatedly change pace during a game.
Sudden changes of direction, stepping, pivoting and awkward landings can contribute to ACL, MCL and other knee ligament injuries, as well as meniscal injuries.
We assess knee stability, quadriceps and hamstring strength, movement control and functional performance.
Using VALD strength and ForceDecks testing where appropriate, we can objectively monitor rehabilitation progress and help inform return-to-touch-football decisions alongside clinical assessment.
Ankle sprains can occur during rapid changes of direction, stepping, uneven landings and contact with other players.
We assess ligament injury, ankle mobility, calf strength, balance and movement control before progressing rehabilitation towards running, cutting and touch-football-specific movements.
For players experiencing repeated ankle sprains, we also address physical deficits that may contribute to ongoing instability.
Repeated sprinting, lateral movement, stepping and rapid changes of direction place considerable demands on the hip and groin muscles.
We assess hip mobility, adductor strength, pelvic control and sport-specific loading to guide rehabilitation for adductor strains, groin pain and other hip-related injuries.
Our goal is to restore strength and confidence during acceleration, stepping and lateral movement.
Repeated running, acceleration, deceleration and high training loads can contribute to Achilles tendinopathy, patellar tendon pain and other lower-limb overuse conditions.
We assess tendon loading tolerance, calf and quadriceps strength, running capacity and training demands before developing a progressive strengthening and load-management program.
Persistent running-related pain, recurrent muscle strains and incomplete rehabilitation can affect a player's ability to sprint, accelerate and compete confidently.
We assess relevant strength, running capacity and movement patterns, incorporating running analysis and VALD testing where appropriate.
Rehabilitation progresses towards high-speed running, repeated sprint efforts, agility and the physical demands of returning to touch football.
Experienced physiotherapists. Personalised care.
Our physiotherapists combine sports injury assessment, progressive rehabilitation, objective strength testing and an understanding of athletic performance to help touch football players recover and return to training and competition.
